Yes, that's my granddad. Thank you for the link. I'm amazed to discover that he's on a stamp. I noticed his photo on the wall of the Manx museum, last night in an edition of Who do you think you are?. I believe that he wrote to the newspaper, but don't know which one. It would be amazing to be able to read a letter he'd written. Since my dad passed away and I've got older I'm more and more interested to trace my history.
Do you know if he wrote letters home? As that seems to be the theme of the stamp collection he's included in. Thanks, Helen
