I have Traced a family member named Peter Galbreath (Galbrath? Galbraith? The spelling varies over the years) who was born on the Isle of Man in 1841. His mother was also born on the Isle of Man but I do not know her name. His father was born in Scotland. I also do not know his name. I have located a record for a man of the same name also born in 1841 who was part of the Merchant Navy from 1853 to 1857 however I don't know if this is the same Peter Galbreath. Peter immigrated to the United States where he married in his late thirties around 1879 and raised his family in the state of Missouri. Any information I can learn regarding the village or town in which he was born and the name of his father and mother would be appreciated. Any resources available to locate that information would also be appreciated.
