I'm a direct descendent of John Arnold who had the mills at the time of the 1881 Census. John Arnold died in 1882 and the family continued the business after his death until, according to the story passed down to us, one of the family members carelessly neglected to deliver the rent money on time which resulted in the family losing the mills.
