Re: Thomas Philip Collister
In Response To: Re: Thomas Philip Collister ()

I posted the comments of a friend of mine who is also helping me pull all this together. She was wondering if the Boys were in fact shipped away as we still can find no IOM death for them. Christina Florence is somewhat elusive. We don't know if Wilson was her real surname or an assumed name. She was born in Scotland not IOM. Unsure as to were the Weston name came from, only the two Mabels had Weston in their name. We don't know if the Mabels were the only two with the same father, whether they all had the same father or all different fathers!!! I am becoming increasingly more convinced that she was a "red light lady!" 6 illegitimate children in those days was a bit OTT don't you think??? AND...there may be more we are yet to discover!! very interesting lady!!
What exactly was the Douglas Industrial home you refer to??
Was it a workhouse?
Again, thank you so much for your continued interest. None of what has been unearthed was known previously, it has all been a fascinating revelation!!
