My 2x great grandmother, Mary Ann Brew was born IOM 1842, marrying Charles Lawton in 1861 Liverpool, thereafter living in Liscard, Wirral.
She appears to be the daughter of Robert Brew/Ann Lewney who married in IOM 1821 - and possibly maternal grand-daughter of James Lewney/Margaret Quayle who married IOM 1794.
In 1861 Census she was staying with the family of John Looney (B 1806 IOM) at Liscard - I would guess her mother's brother.
I am at the beginning of a journey with this family line, and would appreciate any confirmation or correction of my findings so far.
I am at a loss with Robert Brew, as far as his baptism/parents are concerned - any knowledge will be most gratefully appreciated.
