Sorry Sue
I've not been on the board for a couple of days - getting nowhere with my Kewleys so having yet another break from it.

Hope this is what you wanted............

Hi Viv,

Is that the same as "3, Page Place, Hulme, Manchester"? I didn't get any
results for Moss Lane.
There are only four households in Page Place on Findmypast. The Head of
Household at no.3 (Schedule 143) was Jane KEWLEY Widow aged 45 b.Isle of Man.
* See below.
Son William H Kewley aged 18, Packer, was also b.IOM.
RG number: RG12; Piece: 3194
Folio: 131; Page: 29
Sub District: Hulme
Enumeration District: 38
Ecclesiastical Parish: St George
Municipal Borough: Manchester

You used to be able to search the index at FMP for free, and might get enough
information that way to look them up on Ancestry.

- Just had a look at the scan, and it must be the right entry, because the top
of the page has an entry for 24 Lower Moss Lane, followed by 1 Page Place.

Lower Moss Lane has 135 results with Schedule numbers all over the place. No 1
is Schedule 10, and no.2 is Schedule 167. The household at no.3 not b.IOM.

I have noticed before that FMP doesn't find the place name unless every word
is entered the way they have it.

* Also the scan shows that "Jane" in their transcript is wrong - it was the
name above hers - Jane Kirby. Correct name at no.3 Page Place was Margaret
Kewley Head, Wid., aged 45, Cook, b.IOM.

I'll let FMP know about the transcription error.

Sue
