Yes we are talking about the Thomas CANNELL born c 1839 and the one visiting John CARRAN in the 1861 Cencus. It was in his Marriage details that he gave his father's name as Thomas, Shoe Maker. He gave his .residence as Market St. Douglas but I can't seem to find Market St. in the 1861 Census. I thought I might find other CANNELL'S there.Witness's to marriage were John Carran, Robert Killey, James Killey. His marriage was posted in "Mona's Herald" on 3 April 1861 but it just says "both of this town"
I don't have my family tree posted anywhere and unfortunately 1861 is as far back as I have managed to get so probablyof no help to yourself.
