I am trying to confirm some information regarding my direct lineage that comes from the Isle of Man. I am having difficulty confirming the marriage of a Hugh Cain who was born in 1836. Unfortunately I am not certain from what area of the island he was born. From my research, I believe that he was the son of Hugh Cain (born circa 1801) and Esther Kissack (born circa 1801). Hugh Cain (1836) I believe had 8 Children: Alice, Clara, Emma, Esther, Frank, Annie, William, and Amelia. The problem is that I do not know the mother nor her maiden name. Additionally from my research, I believe that the daughter Amelia Cain (born in 1870) married a James Gordon from Northern Ireland in 1890. They later moved to New York in 1893. Any assistance that you could proved would be greatly appreciated.
