Hi Sandie , have you viewed the ships records on arrival in Melbourne ? On Trove the Melbourne 'Argus" of Dec 31, 1851 indicates that there was Smallpox and Measles onboard and the ship was Quarantined. It lists Mr T Quayle , Wife and family and a Mr J Gill, wife and family. Jane's parents ??. I have a list of most Manx immigrants to Aus in the 1800's , it indicates Daniel was 28 on arrival and Jane 16 , also shows un-named child aged '0' .
