Thanks for this. According to the 1841 census, Martha Thompson was born in England ~1816 and her eldest daughter, Anne, was also born there in ~1831. I had assumed that Henry met Martha in one of his sailing trips to the mainland, fathered her child and then brought her back to Castletown when he married her in 1833. Does any of this seerm compatible with your information?
