you can trace the owners via lib vas + lib assed - it would appear that from 1643 Oates Kelly gfa of Nicholas was entered for it - by 1704 composition book Oates + Nicholas are entered jountly - by 1716 (not 100% sure re exact year but think it was this Lib Assed only Nicholas is entered
Thus appears Nicholas's father predeceased Oates (for whom I could see no will but bur 1716) - I suspect father was William as there is a wm named in a lib vas entry but I can't find the entry in lib vas that enters Nicholas jt with Oates - but I havnt looked at all jears post say 1660 yet - there should also be the entry by which Oates name is drawn in a lib vas post 1704
