Ellen Quayle (Clague) d. Foxdale 1914

Ellen Clague, widow of John Quayle, (Foxdale miner) born Margt E (Ellen) Clague German, 1832. Daughter of Thomas Clague, who died aged 34 in 1843, and Ann Kewley.
Ann remarried a much younger William Quayle in 1849, German.

In 1851 Census, Ellen living with her grandmother, Eleanor Kewley, aged 80, lodging house keeper at The Beary. Eleanor Kewley dies aged 82, in 1853...she left a will that I haven't seen yet.

Widow of Paul Kewley, he left a disputed will in 1802, then Eleanor Kewley married Philip Skillicorn in 1803, by Special License..and had a son Thomas, christened 1803.
Note: She reverts to Kewley name in later years.

What I'd really like to know is where did the money come from to enable Ellen Quayle, will 1914, to buy all the Foxdale, and Ballig, St Johns, property listed in her will.
They do not appear to have been wealthy folk.
Any help would be much appreciated,
Adrienne
