Help needed please. Thought I was on the right tree with help of Wally Corrin many years ago, but now realize that I had the wrong branch. 1841 census for Scoalaby, Rushen shows Thos. b1806 and Thos b 1766 presumably his father with Margaret (Cowin) b 1805 and children Thomas 1831, William 1836, Jane 1833 Margaret 1838. 1851 census for Cordaman, Malew has Thomas and Margaret with children Jane, Wm, Margaret, Edward b 1842, John b 1844 baptised Kirk Rushen 21 Apr 1844 (my x3 grandfather) and Elizabeth b 1847. IGI confirms these dates. 1861, 1871, 1881 census for Peel Road Malew/1 Raggie Malew etc.shows Jane and William with parents until Jane drops off on 1881 census. Memorial inscriptions at St. Marks Malew records Margaret d 1886, William d 1884 and Thomas d 1885 age 85.
My John of Ballamoddy married Elizabeth Cowin of Close Clark 28 Apr 1866 in the parish church of Malew. These two came to Australia in 1869.
Any info on Thomas 1766, Thomas 1800/6 and anything on Margaret Cowin would be appreciated Given that there are so many Thomas's it is so difficult to be certain, but hopefully someone out there maybe on the same tree.
