I am currently assisting in researching the records of the Anglican Cemetery in the small village of Echunga South Australia. There is a burial recorded 12 th. May 1879 for a William Kegg and further research reveals that a death registration for the same event lists him as Thomas Kegg.
He collapsed and died at 31 years of age and had no known relatives in South Australia, He came here as a quartermaster on a P.& O. mail boat and there are two separate reports that he played the violin.It was also reported that he came from Salby, Isle of Man.
