I've just had a look on your cd and noted that your index didn't go as far as 1880s so I was wondering when that practice stopped.
If the birth record states name of parents I should find some further info on that, I hope, when I get to Douglas.
Thought I would do some gentle research on the Corris side as a break from the Caines.
Maybe not such a wise idea after all ............
