Re: Joseph RAISBECK & Ann KERMODE

Wayne, forget my previous question - I had a look for you after finding out from past messages that you probably meant Joseph (not Francis). I haven't read all your messages about Raisbeck, so you probably already have some of this, but I did see that you thought they emigrated c.1850. They actually arrived in 1847 on the 'Rajah'.

[Message in 2000 on an Australian message board]: “Urgently seeking information/details of arrival (ie. ship name etc)into South Australia of Joseph RAISBECK & his wife Ann nee KERMODE, married on the Isle of Man in 1846. I am not even sure of what Joseph did for a job in SA but I do know the couple lived at Callington, near Adelaide. The couple eventually went to Victoria (Chewton) for the gold mining ~ 1849/50 however dates are unknown. I believe at least one of their sons/daughters also went to WA (and possibly Perth)later on….”
There is an answer about some of their children at:

There is a pedigree (with sources) for them at www.oocities.org/mepnab/r/r4.html which says that Joseph died in 1879, and Ann in 1883. This also has details of their children's marriages etc.
