Vale Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees

Robin Hugh Gibb and his twin Maurice Ernest were born in the Isle of Man on Dec.22 1949 to Barbara (nee Pass) and Hugh Gibb. Hugh Gibb was a drummer and band leader who worked by day as a chauffeur, and Barbara Gibb had been a dance band vocalist. In 1953 the family moved to Hugh's home town Chorlton-cum-Hardy in Manchester. After brother Andy's birth in 1958 the family immigrated to Australia, to Redcliffe, an outlying suburb of Brisbane. They relocated to Britain in the late 1960s after the Bee Gees were top of the charts in Australia.
