James was born in1839 in Ireland (I think) but was in Conchan on the 1841 census. He married Louisa Matilda Richards in Whitehaven, Cumbria in 1866. He was a schoolteacher and left IOM probably after his marriage. He worked in various places, and finally moved to Brompton, near Northallerton, North Yorkshire. He had 12 children - my gt grandfather being Charles James Blair.
I am trying to find out about James' parents, James (1808-1885) and Jane Cummins (1808-1873). They were both from Ireland, possibly Downpatrick.
