seem to be having one of those mornings! - North Meols is near Southport not on Wirral (that is just plain Meols), the musican was W H Gill (W W Gill was the folklorist of Manxscrapbooks)
however noted another connection at 1 Park Crescent North Meols was boarder 14yr old Frank Gill who later became a president of IEE (a telephone engineer - appears in New Manx Worthies)
