Re: Edward Byne or Boyne
In Response To: Edward Byne or Boyne ()

It is possible this Edward Byne or Boyne may have been the son of an Edward Boyne who was born ca 1767 and died 9 May 1844 aged 77. I think he had a son Edward born ca 1815. Edward's wife was possibly Eleanor/Elinor/Ellen Cowley or Cowl. It is also possible Edward the father was the brother of my forebear Michael Boyne born 18774-1779 in Clare Morris, County Mayo, Ireland. In 1807 Michael married Jane Gale at Malew. He was a private in the 67th Regiment of Foot and was on IOM recruiting when he met Jane. An Edward Boyne was a witness at the marriage. An Edward Boyne enlisted/attested 15 May 1805 or 28 Jul 1805 and Michael Boyne attested 20 Sep 1805 at Guernsey (Source: WO12/7620; WO12/7621; WO25/543 PRO, Kew).
