Children John Thomas & James were mentioned in a land Sale of Chibanagh and they wife are detailed in the Sale. Therefore Thomas & Anne Clucas are the children of Thomas & Anne Quirk, William C (B1792 D 1858) lived at Chibanagh in 1841 and left the property to his brothers.

Know all men by these present that John Cretney, Thomas Cretney and James Cretney all of the parish of Marown for and in consideration of the sum of Two hundred and sixty pounds sterling to them in hand by William Cain of Chibbanagh in the parish of Marown, Farmer, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have given granted bargained and sold and by these present do give grant bargain and for ever absolutely sell unto the said William Cain his heirs and assigns All Singular certain lands and premises called and known by the name of “Cretney’s Chibbanagh”, situated in the parish of Marown, and bounded on the west and south by the lands called and known by the name Cain’s Chibbanagh, on the east by Mount Murray, and on the north and north-west by the Queen’s highway: To have and to hold the said lands and premises called “Cretney’s Chibbanagh” with all ways waters watercourses, rights members and appurtenances to the same belonging or in anywise appertaining unto the said William Cain his heirs and assigns from the twelfth day of November last past for ever. He the said William Cain his heirs and assigns from thence-forth yielding and paying the Lord’s rent, rent charge in lieu of tithes, highroad labor, and church assessments, and doing and performing all boons, suits and services annually incumbent thereon. And the said John Cretney, Thomas Cretney and James Cretney do hereby covenant and engage to and with the said William Cain his heirs and assigns that they the said John Cretney, Thomas Cretney and James Cretney have, by and with the consent of their several and respective wives testified by their becoming executing parties hereto right full power and lawful authority to sell and convey the premises aforesaid in manner aforesaid and that they their heirs and executors shall and will warrant maintain uphold and defend the said to the said William Cain his heirs and assigns from and against the claim challenge and demand of all persons whatsoever. And for the true and faithful performance hereof the said John Cretney, Thomas Cretney and James Cretney do hereby bind and oblige themselves their heirs and executors to the said William Cain his heirs and assigns firmly by these present. In the witness whereof the said John Cretney and Elizabeth his wife, Thomas Cretney and Ann his wife and James Cretney and Catherine his wife have hereunto subscribed their names this sixteenth day of December, One thousand eight hundred and fifty eight.
