I should love to research this problem personally but am unable to travel to the island at present and hope that there is someone there who can assist me.
My great-uncle, John Henry Taubman (1889-1918), son of John Taubman (1857-1927) and Isabella Ann Kermode (1856-1933) died in action in France on 4/11/1918.
I was fairly sure that I had found his grave (via CWGC) in the Cross Roads Cemetery, Fontaine-au-Bois but have since been told that he was buried in Malew Glebe Yard.
I was also referred to the Castletown War Memorial but this says that there is no information about his resting place.
Any ideas, please?
