Hello Kay,

It depends which Parish you are searching in, as to whether the records go back to the 1600s.

Also to remember that these IGI records are still being added to –
a search for Lowny in Maughold doesn’t bring any results and the Parish Register started in 1647 with a Baptism for John Lowny.
