Re: research for England

Hi Diane

The marriage you gave:

**************

England & Wales, FreeBMD Marriage Index: 1837-1915
about Amalie De Neviers
Name: Amalie De Neviers
Date of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep 1877
Registration district: St Giles
Inferred County: London
Volume Number: 1b
Page Number: 981

*********
BMD shows that she and a Martha Crossley married Thomas Farrell and Daniel Sullivan, but not which one married which.

In 1881 I can't find an Amalie/Amelia Sullivan, nor a Farrell, with the appropriate husband and the Prussian birthplace. So I looked for Martha to see which one she married and the only likely one is of a Martha and Thomas Farrell.

So I looked at deaths and found this:

**************

England & Wales, FreeBMD Death Index: 1837-1915
about Amelia Sullivan
Name: Amelia Sullivan
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1849
Date of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar 1879
Age at Death: 30
Registration district: Chelsea
Inferred County: London
Volume: 1a
Page: 232a

******************
But is it good enough evidence to risk splashing out on a death certificate ?

Does anyone know if the maiden name of this Amelia Sullivan is available online ?
