Cains again - The Camlork tree

I am a direct descendant of the Camlork Cains who I see have been mentioned in recent correspondence,
I think we have two Robert Cains being mixed up here

The Robert Cain in the Camlork tree is Robert Joseph Cain(b 1865) a son of Philip Cain and Mary Anne Corkill. Robert Joseph married Jane Elizabeth Coole in 1887 and they had five children including my grandfather However Jane died in 1897 and Robert Joseph left the family farm for a few years to be nearer his young family who were being looked after by his sister in law in Douglas. To pay the way he became a carter carrying the hay down to Fort St in Douglas for the English garrison's horses and then carrying the horse manure back up the hill to MT Rule ( I guess someone had to do it!)
About 1903 he remarried Margaret Julia Clague and returned to Camlork to work on the farm - along with my grandfather now about 13 years of age, but not his sisters who remained in Douglas. Anyway as a young man, my grandfather was clearly not getting on with his stepmother and when his uncle and several cousins decided to try out New Zealand - and here we are.

The Robert Caine you are referring to may or may not have been a carter also - but for one census (1891) my Robert was a drayman - hope this clears up any confusions
