Thank you for your research. However, I believe my 'Thomas John Hampton,' christened on 15.9.1839 (IGI) was eldest child of Thomas Hampton and Elizabeth Kaighin. Thomas's siblings were Robert, born 1841; Jane, born 1843; Catharine, christened 1846; Elizabeth Ann, christened 1850; William, christened 1852; Samuel, born 1854; Charles, born 1861; (IGI)

Elizabeth Kaighin (mother of Thomas John) was christened on 23.3.1815 at Kirk German, IOM. (IGI)
