Thanks for that information Sue. It has been very helpful. I would imagine that a copy of the marriage cert would contain the same info as the entry in the parish register you have found. It sounds as if she has put her G father down as father due to being illieg' I don't suppose you know if Sarah Maxwell got married and who she included as her father on the register, because I agree, they do sound like sisters.
