what are you searching for from the newspapers, in the paper that i found for you a while ago from 1910 william henry cox obituary it did not, mention a word about alice or 1st wife and not even a child and i searched for a will , but there was none, unless he left one in england,
He had a son as well to 1st wife called lionel didnt he, , when william died he was aged 77 [ 1910 ] and Alice was 43 thats 34 years age gap, i dont know much about marridge them days so maybe someone on here can answer the question " was it the usual them days to marry a man much much older,
