Almost time for IOM visit & I really want to sort out one person, namely Ann Mylrea. Have had help trying to sort her out several months ago on this message board but nothing actually verified yet. She still remains unsolved. This visit I need to look at her & John Kinvig's wedding certificate in Malew in 1844. Does anyone know if this early cert will show the name of her father ? If not, there is no point paying to look at it as that is the only info I want. I looked at the film in MM with the witnesses which was no real help. How will I go about solving the child Sophia Shimmin chr Cas May 1842? Her parents were given as John Kneale & Anne Shimmin. In 1851 census a Sophia aged 9 is put as daughter to John Kelly aged 28 & Ann aged 31. No other Sophia in Castletown ! Again have had help with this child but nothing actually verified. Any tips to look through whilst on the IOM to help me sort Anne & Sophia out whilst in the museum will be so appreciated as a lot of time can be wasted by guessing. Thanks so much Kay N
