Mary Kewish, who married Thomas Corlett at Kk Bride, was the daughter of Charles Kewish and Jane McNight.

Her husband Thomas Corlett died at sea, it would seem before her son James was born.

Here is the family, who went to Ohio:

1830 Hambden census Charles Cawish: 1 male 20-30 (William 22); 1 male 30-40 (Charles, Jr.); 1 male 60-70 (Charles 65); 1 female 15-20 (Ann 23); 1 female 20-30 (Jane 26); 1 female 60-70 (Jane 65)

1840 Leroy census Charles Kewish: 1 male 40-50 (Charles 40); 2 females 10-15; 1 female 40-50

1850 Leroy census # 125: Charles Kewish 50 farmer IOM

1860 Leroy census # 931: Charles Kewish 65 farmer IOM.

Charles Kewish, son of Charles Kewish and Margaret Mylrea, was christened at Kk Bride, 1768. and died at Leroy, M. He married, at Kk Bride, July 17, 1796, Jane McNight. She was born about 1772.

Charles and Jane Kewish lived in Leroy.

Children of Jane McNight and Charles: christened at Kk Bride

i. Charles Kewish was christened April 23, 1797, and died in Lake County, Ohio, March 22, 1865, age 69. He is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.

+ ii. Mary Kewish was christened November 17, 1799, and died March 22, 1865. She married first, at Kk Bride, April 19, 1823, Thomas Corlett. He was a sea captain, and died at sea, leaving her pregnant with her first child (James). Mary married second, in Geauga County, January 30, 1829, Thomas William Radcliff. See William Radcliff family of Kk Andreas and Leroy.

+ iii. John Kewish was christened July 17, 1803. He married at Concord, December 27, 1828, Jane Corlett.

+ iv. Margaret Kewish was christened March 20, 1803, and died in Rockford, Illinois, in February 1873. She married, at Kk Bride “about” December 29, 1826, Thomas Garrett. See Thomas Garrett family of Hambden and Illinois. [Thomas Garrett, their son, is listed with his grandparents in the William Dawson manifest.]

+ v. William Kewish was christened March 8, 1807. He married at Madison, Ohio, June 16, 1835, Harriet Ward.

vi. Jane Kewish was christened at Bride, April 22, 1810, and died in Hambden, May 4, 1876.. She married, at Hambden, Ohio, November 24, 1830, Norman King. He was born in Connecticut, May 6, 19-0, and died in Hambden, August 7, 1883.

vii. Ann Kewish was christened April 13, 1812, and died March 7, 1858, age 46 y, 10 m. She married, in Geauga County, April 20, 1830, Robert Brown. He was born in 1806, and died December 5, 1878, age 70 years. Children: Harriet died January 13, 1861, 6 y 11 m 13 d; Loren died Decemeber 3, 1876, age 38 y; Mary J. died January 14, 1861, 7 y.
