Thomas GELLING b abt 1769 likely is the son of John GELLING & Margaret CAROON. He fits well to be the son & executor of John Gelling's 1822 Braddan will, but no baptism found. John Sr. bp 4 Oct 1741 Marown was the brother of the Schoolmaster of Marown Robert Gelling (1753-1815) and therefore the son of John Gelling & Ann Fayle md ca 1732 Marown (and bd 1 Feb 1784 of Ballig, MI from Donna on this BB Jul 12/08) who was the illegitimate son of John Gelling of Ballamillaghyn by Ann Kneale born 1705.
