Hilary, I am not related to your Cain(e) line but have a particular interest in Caine genealogy. Your line has been discussed on this genealogy board in the past--perhaps you can find info in the two archive sections noted at the top of the page. I, myself, have a hard time using these archives but I know it can be done.
I have some information in my database re these folks and would be happy to try to assist you with your puzzles. I'm always happy to see the info that others have as I usually learn more as well along the way. I think that putting the puzzles together is part of the fascination of genealogy.
