Capt. Thomas Moore, privateer Fame

Very interested in obtaining information on Thomas Moore, Captain of the ship Fame. Putatively he married Isabella Moore (1767-1809) (A.W. Moore, Manx Families, Moores of Pulrose). Capt. Thomas Moore (1750 - 1808) is noted to be one of the Moores from Pulrose (A.W. Moore, Manx Worthies, Chapter 8, Traders> The Merchant Service > General Traders). A recent posting by Donna J. Douglas (8 April 2011) cites a transcription indicating that Thomas Moore was from Douglas (Kirk Braddan, Old Yard South, # 591 "... and to their children Isabella wife of Thomas Moore of Douglas died 31st day of August 1809 aged 43 years ...). I have been able to find some information on the ancestors of Isabella Moore, but nothing on Capt. Thomas Moore and his ancestors, and nothing about the progeny of Thomas and Isabella Moore.

A short biographical note by one of my wife's ancestors named John Moore Taylor (I. Allen Jack, Biographical Review: Province of New Brunswick. Boston: Biographical Review Publishing Co., 1900, p. 244 - 246) infers that Capt. Moore (of the privateer Fame of Dublin) was his maternal grandfather and that Captain Moore was an occupant of Buncrana Castle, Donegal, Ireland in October 1798, when Wolfe Tone was captured. I have been able to find some accounts of the episode when he commanded the privateer Fame but the rest is merely family lore. Any assistance on Capt. Thomas Moore, his ancestors, his progeny and life history, etc. would be appreciated.
