Wake is not a Manx name - I recall that the newspaper report was not easy to read due to very poor microfilms - the iMuseum has I think newly filmed + digitised images - I'd first check the name has been correctly transcribed - no obvious baptism or burial I have on record - however now with the ability to search for words in the digitised paper it might be worth seeing (tho I suspect knowing papers of that period not that much chance) if she stars in any other report.
