David is a very uncommon name for Manx born (eg I have records of only 82 in 40years 1800 to 1840 and most were to families with one or both non-Manx parents)- there is only one David Boyde, boddagh etc I can see in my records - an infant buried in Patrick in 1813 (no other details in burial reg) - I have no baptism for him. The only family with a similar name if David Baird whose family can be found in Malew c.1815 but not any later (? soldier)
