Hi Ewan , note sure now who we are looking for , Alice Elizabeth or Alice Emily , the Alice E on the IOM in 1891, from Brian Lawson's index was with Sarah B Bowers aged 62 , and Edith S Bowers aged 17 , so it looks like this Edith S is the same one in 1881 in Heaton Norris , Lancs 1871 , therefore so is Alice and Sarah , therefore Alice should be Alice Elizabeth . Would help if you let us know her backgrouhd , who is she ? how do you know she existed ? sorry for the questions , but the more information we have the easier it is .
