Hi Frances, I have found a book at the fhs library at Peel called Andreas families. Researched by Donald Dugdale. I have added to this The age and date of Burial. (Ref fhs Andreas burial register.) This is what he had entered for this Christian line: WILLIAM Christian, married 1774 = Joney Mrs Wm Christian 1736-28 Aug 1791 age 55, dau of John Killip.
ROBERT Christian, Rye Hill, SA 1778- 16 may 1857 age 80,married 8 Dec 1801 Andreas = Isabel Lace 1782- 12 Mar 1839 age 56. Dau of Chas Lace, Ballaseyre and Ann Radcliffe.
WILLIAM Lace Christian, Ballaseyre, SA 1803- 13 Jul 1881 age 78. Married 1827= Jane Radcliffe 1784- 18 Sept 1832 age 48.
ROBERT Christian, Rye Hill & Ballakelly, BR (brother of the above)1804-1877 age 74 (Widower, died at Birkenhead UK)married 1826= Elizabeth Skinner 1802-12 March 1873 age 72. Dau of WM Skinner and Ann Arthur.
*John Christian Rye Hill,BA married mary Ann teare, Thomas BA married Ellen Davies in 1888.His sister Ann married Thomas Nelson.
Another sister Margaret born 1837 married 1st. Robert Morrison kiondroghad & Ballacottier, 1831-1866. Second marriage to John Cowley of Ramsey (Harbour Pilot) 31 may 1884,(R Maug 5) Margaret born 1837 married Robert Morrison,2nd John Cowley is our line. I need to go to museum to look at original marriage for Robert Christian and Elizabeth Skinner. Should give what parish he is from but too early for fathers names. In all census he gives his place of birth as Andreas and age in all census is consistent with 1803 birth. Would value your opinion. regards Pauline johns
