Pennsylvania was actually founded by Quakers and retains a large Quaker population even today. This was one of my problems with Robert being in Pennsylvania because I had gotten the idea in my head from somewhere that he was Anglican. I don't know much about either of these religions, but I'm sure going to find out. I have tracked many Looneys in America after the American Revolution who were Catholic and many after the American Civil war who were of many different Protestant denominations. Another problem in researching here is that the names of areas changed so frequently that the towns found in an area in 1700 may disappear or be in another county or parish a few years later. Eastern Kentucky alone has been renamed (as far as counties are concerned) at least eight or ten times. Thank God the UK has more stable division names or I would never find anything!
