probably Knockaloe rather than knockalve
There is an irish born Patty/Pattie family (peate in German 1841 census) based around Patrick/Peel area with it seems several unmarried sons/daughters as servants all irish born - the Patrick marriage register (having adopted an English style register) from 1838 gives father's names + professions - in 1838 Elizth Patty (irish born)married and gives father as Wm Patty - the occupation field is blank so possibly deceased - I can't find a matching burial for Wm nor an 1841 entry so possibly he died in Ireland before family moved to Iom
Wm h/o irish born Ann Patty is 47 in 1851 ( miner Ballamooar (Ballamoore) - also a lead miner in 1841 at close leece - born Rushen - father is probably John but there are two possible families!
The Patriarch of the Patty family would appear to be Thomas (bur Pat age 88 in 1875 - wife Mary Watson (she d of smallpox in 1849) but it is possible that there was an extended family involved - Thomas is farming 23acres at Knockaloe in 1851.
