There's a marriage between a Jane Christian and a Thomas Corkill in Braddan 17 July 1853. And there's an unmarried 23 yr old Jane Christian, servant b England, in Onchan in 1851. Jane could have gone back to Whitehaven for the birth of Thomas in Dec Q 1853, then returned to the IOM for the births of her other children.

So that's my best shot ---parents of John Corkill, second husband of Mary Jane Gelling nee Gelling b 1852, probably were Thomas Corkill and Jane Christian, but I may be wrong.
