I have just come across your query re George Allberry in Cheltenham in 1851. I have done much research into this gentleman. He was born in 1797 in Chislehurst, Kent (see Parish Registers). The name changes from Albury, Albery to Allberrey where it has remained. George and family eventually moved to London living in St. Pancras where he died in 1864. George's father, also George, was born in Newton Valence, Hampshire. No connection with the Isle of Man at all.
