Trying to find out anything about a Francis Ward of Douglas who is shown in Pigots & Slater 1843 business directory as being in 'General Furnishing and warehouse' in Duke Street.
There seems to be another Francis who was an Ironmonger & Blacksmith at 39 Duke Street in 1848. He was a Methodist preacher. I am only interested in the first mentioned.
