It's not that Emma.Interesting that she was born in Wales though.
John Bateman left Halkyn,North Wales around 1826,he was a miner.He married Christiana Milburn in 1928 at Lonan.They had 16 children,the first being Deborah who was born in Wales.The rest were all born IOM.Another child was James Bateman b.1833.He married Mary Kelly 1852 at Lonan.One of their children James b.1854 emigrated to New Zealand in 1875 and was followed by his parents and some of his siblings in 1876.
Young James married Elizabeth Emma Climo in NZ in 1885,they had 7 children
