Unusual GLOVER bapt entries in Maughold
In Response To: Glover ()

When I was checking Maughold bapts for someone else I came across these GLOVER entries which might solve a Glover researcher's problem with a year of birth.

George James son of Richard Glover & Alice Quayle bapt 22 Mar 1840
John Richard son of Richard Glover & Alice Quayle bapt 22 Mar 1840 aged 10 years. Illegitimate
Francis Jonathan son of Richard Glover & Alice Quayle bapt 22 Mar 1840 aged 7 years. Illegitimate
Mary Martha daur of Richard Glover & Alice Quayle bapt 22 Mar 1840 aged 3 years. Illegitimate

There was also John Richard illegitimate son of R W Glover & Alicia Quayle bapt 5 May 1831 (so baptised twice?).

There is a Maughold marriage for the parents: Richd Waugh Glover & Elisha Quayle married 10 Nov 1839.

Then presumably George James was born and the other children were bapt at the same time as he was.
