I've recently been doing detailed work on Ballaugh parish - cross-correlating burials,will, MI's,census etc for 1790-1851 census - I can live with the effective 8-10% error rate in BL's index for this period but noticed that a significant fraction of the Clark(e) entries for Ballaugh are missing from the index though they appear to be in burial reg - eg the cuirrent online indexhas 37 - I have some 71 in the burial reg - eg all daniel clarks in Ballaugh were missing
