Re: Crellin-Cain(e)
In Response To: Crellin-Cain(e) ()

Hi Donna
We have been in touch with each other but years ago. I posted a message re Ballacojeen some time ago. Fred was younger son of Edward James Cain and Harriet Hall, born 6 Dec 1880 at Everton, Liverpool. His older brother John was born 20 Sep 1876 in Liverpool. He was a chemist in Southsea, married Edith Jane Lane in 1902 and died 28 Sep 1932. John had only one child Constance Ella Mitchell Cain born Sep 1904. She married twice but no issue. Have just found John and Edith buried at Hills Cemetery, Horsham.

My grandfather died 28 Jun 1954 in Hastings, NZ, same day as his 2nd wife Annie (nee Gilchrist). No issue from 2nd marriage. First wife Emma died 26 Aug 1916.
My brother Miles is the only one carrying the Cain surname from our branch of the Cain family ie descendants of John Cain (1779-1841) and Jane Crennell (d 1873) of Ballacojeen. He has two daughters and no sons.
I have recently traced descendants of Edward Cain's sister Margaret Elizabeth Cain who married John Daniel Cleator. Their daughter Margaret Jane Cleator married Charles Bulla of Belfast. Unfortunately I have been unable to track down any living descendants of this couple who married on IOM but died and buried in Society of Friends Burial Ground in Belfast. Any help in this direction who be most appreciated.
