Helen, your information appears to have come from my BB message of 29 Sept.2008 where I listed the children's bapts from the Maughold parish register, Daniel's burial, and the 1871 and 1881 censuses of Thalloo Mitchell (1881 showing Daniel's children as stepchildren to Robert Kermeen).

Daniel was born in Maughold, in 1843/44 according to the burial and census records.
The most likely baptism is Daniel son of John Corlett & Margaret Corlett bapt Maughold Parish Church 15 Mar 1843.
John Corlett & Margaret Corlett married in Maughold 28 Aug 1830.
[In case he had reduced his age for the census, there was also Daniel son of John Corlett & Margaret Hogg bapt Maughold Parish Church 22 Sep 1839, but I think these are the ones who stayed in Rhenabb – see below.]
I’m almost certain that Daniel was the son of John Corlett and Margaret – but two possible Margarets, with the most likely being Margaret Corlett.
John Corlett b.1806 was the son of William Corlett (b.1774) from Rhenabb who married Ann Cashen whose family lived in Thalloo Mitchell, and moved there (less than a mile away from Rhenabb). William Corlett’s elder brother John (b.1772) stayed in Rhenabb, as did his son John.
In 1871 Thallow Mitchell, Daniel Corlett Mar., 27, Joiner, b. Maughold, was with wife Ann ag.26 b. Kk German. With two children Annie 4 & Daniel 2 both b. Maughold.

The Maughold 1851 census, Rhenabb, has John Corlet marr. 46 Propt Farming 16 acres, wife Margaret 47, Judith daur U 17 Employed at home, John son 15 son at home, Thomas son 12 scholar, Daniel son 10 scholar, Robert son 9, James son 6, Mary Kelley niece 3. [I think this is mother Margaret HOGG, because of daur Judith.]
