Re: Jane QUIRK b abt 1814-1815 Onchan

Jane's mother Isabel came from this family, I hope it helps you.

Thomas Quine born before 1758 possibly (1753?) Onchan
Married 17 Dec 1774 in Braddan
Isabel Corkill baptised 19 July 1747 (died 4/1/1813)
Children Baptised in Braddan (Thomas’s birthplace & year unknown)
Thomas possibly Onchan 27 Aug 1775 [may have died 1855] (Living in Jurby in 1813 probably married Catherine Teare in 1798)
Margaret born August 3 1777 (Buried Braddan 14 Aug 1794) age 17 years
Matthias born April 25 1779 (Possibly married Margaret Stevenson in 1798 Marown [Stephen?])
Isabel Baptised Feb 15 1784 d 16 Jan 1864 married Robert Quirk
Elizabeth Baptised December 27 1785 (married 1810 Robert Quayle living in Michael in 1813)
William Baptised October 7 1781 (died probably before 1791, under 9 years, probably 1784)
Jane Baptised August 31 1788 (married Thos Corlett Jurby 12 Jan 1819 d 13 dec 1853 Jurby)
William Baptised January 30 1791 [possibly married Jane Quayle in 1813]
John Baptised June 16 1793 (married Margaret Kelly)

Thomas and Isabelle married in Braddan the week before Christmas in December 1774. The witnesses at the wedding were Edward Corkill, William Creer and William Killey.

Isabel died at the beginning of 1813 and was buried in Onchan, there is a record in the Braddan register that states "Isabel Quine ny Mealey als Corkill to Conchan. This seems to indicate she was living in Braddan but buried in Onchan. This location confirmed by a document issued by a court after her death which stated Isabel Quine of the parish of Kirk Conchan. Best guess on ny Mealey location is somewhere around Slieau Meayl.

Will of Isabel Quine alias Corkill died 1813 Onchan
