I am descended from the Cowleys and have walked to the Close 3 times, from the old watersplash on the Druidale road. First time was stopped by a high stone wall - the land around the reservoir is not for public ramblage. Next 2 attempts found a gap in the wall! Took lots of photos. Third attempt was in 1993 with the Antiquarians. Someone else climbed over the wall. Nice walk during dry weather.
