We recently found an old letter to her brother written by a family member years ago. She stated that our Leslie family originally came from the Isle of Man. How and where should we begin to search for records? Our John Leslie was born in 1816 in Fayetteville, North Carolina, USA, so we know at least our line of the family had immigrated to the U.S. in the late 1700's. Thanks! Evelyn Leslie
